Senator Entertainment has optioned screen rights to "American Psycho" author Bret Easton Ellis short-story collection "The Informers." Nicholas Jarecki ("The Outsider") will direct a script he's writing with Ellis reports Variety.
Published in 1995, the collection of loosely connected short stories captures a week in L.A. in 1983, featuring movie execs, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters in adventures laced with sex, drugs and violence.
"The Informers" is the first time the author took a hand in adapting his own work. Production will begin in early 2007, shooting entirely in Los Angeles.
As potentially the world's biggest B.E.E fan, I don't quite know how I feel about this. Not a fan of American Psycho and Less than Zero (oh godawful) as represented on the big screen. We shall see... .
...when you decide to take a night off of being social and stay in the bed watching cheesy television.
Meet what was my awesome rental car. I drove this about 11 miles total (from the West Ashley dealership to my house).
I do not know who all reads this blog in the Charleston area, BUT: if anyone anywhere has any information as to what may have happened here or of anyone who would (details that I know are below... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know absolutely immediately. I am probably going to be dropped by my insurance as a result of this little mishap and I would love to find whomever did it...
DETAILS: I live right by the intersection of Smith and Radcliffe. I stayed in last night and heard a crazy loud crash somewhere between 2:30 and 5 in the morning. (I was asleep -- not entirely sure of times) The paint on the car appears white
...and that is all I know. I'm prepared to offer a reward for any and all information leading to more details.
